About

Lydia Nichols (hey, that's me!) in an east-coast based illustrator and dabbler in design and typography. She graduated from Syracuse University's snowy depths with a BFA in Illustration in 2007, and migrated south to tropical Brooklyn where she lived for the ensuing four years. She's recently relocated to begin working toward her MFA from Tyler School of Art, which she plans to complete by 2013. Her work strives to be narrative while remaining concise. Folk art, street art, pop art, mid-century design, and printmaking are the tippity top of her influences. Tea drinking, reading books, and succumbing to the allure of Netflix are among her varied hobbies. She lives with one human and two furry beasts, both of which are cats, one of which occasionally thinks she is a dog.
