In the grand tradition of website bios, I will awkwardly write about myself in the third person, as if someone else entirely is describing me
Lydia Nichols is a certifiably red-headed image-maker and storyteller. She believes that process—even when messy, maddening, or crisis-inducing—is as important as the final work. Inspired by printmaking, her work embraces limited palettes and bold, layered shapes. As a kid she declared her intent to become either a vet or a cartoonist. She is neither, but still considers working as an illustrator who gets to draw anthropomorphic animals a childhood dream come true.
