portrait of the artist and her two art directors

In the grand tradition of website bios, I will awkwardly write about myself in the third person, as if someone else entirely is describing me:

Lydia Nichols is a real, live human being.

She’s also an image-maker and storyteller with a penchant for printmaking processes and anthropomorphic touches. As a kid, she declared her intent to become either a vet or a cartoonist. She is neither, but considers working as an illustrator that frequently draws animals a childhood dream come true. To answer an oft asked question: her red hair is 100% real.
